Event Review: Vals Extented (Charity Project)

The love from Valentine officially ended on February 19 with Keen Hearts Foundation’s outreach, Vals Extended. The foundation accomplished its event’s goal by visiting the Teshie Children’s Home and dashing to the Accra Mall for a short evangelism.

Upon arrival at the orphanage home, the founder, Mrs Janet Parker, together with her management warmly received the “Keen Hearters”.

Series of events by the foundation included refreshment, health talk, encouragement and counselling. The event also saw spoken word performances by B3NTINO and Poetic Birdy and not forgetting a rap ministration from Absteiner.

The refreshment and talk party landed both the hosts and guests at the most captivating moment of the day. Four keen hearters paired with the inmates they interacted with for the fun game ‘It Takes Two’. From sources, the kids were very smart and this made the competition even tighter and more enjoyable. Winners were awarded.

Upon leaving, the foundation donated a range of provisions as well as cash to the orphanage.

Aftermath was at the Accra Mall where they evangelised to people inside and outside of the mall in a very strategic way. They distributed handmade greeting cards, originally produced by Beehive_Inc., with handwritten motivational and godly messages.

“The people we had the chance to reach out to really loved the cards. You could tell from their looks as they took glances at the cards. Even the security man, who was initially stopping us from reaching out and taking pictures without permission, ended up picking one of the cards”.

“Their smiles coupled with the messages in the cards was just enough to make us feel accomplished. Vals Extended was our maiden public outreach was just successful. A very big thank you to all who supported in one way or the other. We hope to do more as a charitable foundation”. Founder of Keen Hearts Foundation, B.K. Acquah popularly known as B3ntino, gladly mentioned in a one-on-one interview about the project.
